Pat Bernasconi

Pat Bernasconi is a Director and Vice President of The Oracle Institute, editor of the Oracle Omnibus, and a member of the committee for creating the Valley of Light – a sustainable spiritual community on the New River in Independence, VA. Pat first met Laura in 2005 at an Association for Research & Enlightenment ("ARE") conference in Shepardstown, WV. Pat was so captivated by Oracle's vision that she agreed to become a volunteer and add her talents and energy toward manifesting the work of the Institute.

At age four, Pat had her first past-life recall following a traumatic incident on her family's farm. Since then, Pat has known that Spirit is not something merely found at church. Moreover, Pat's grandfather fostered this early awareness, teaching her that it is possible to connect to God without the intercession of a priest or minister, since one can readily commune with God in nature or by going "within." These teachings were later confirmed for Pat after an automobile accident at the age of nineteen. Pat received instruction during this near-death experience: She was told to begin training for the work she had agreed to do in this lifetime, and that she would be led to the right people and situations as part of her life assignment.

In 1969, Pat joined a Search for God study group through ARE, and she began to study the work of ARE's founder Edgar Cayce, the "Sleeping Prophet." This work gave Pat a framework that pulled together all the material she had been studying in metaphysics, spirituality, and holistic health. In 1986, she became part of ARE's Philadelphia Speaker's Team, which presents seminars on various spiritual subjects derived from the Cayce material. Today, Pat continues her involvement with ARE as Coordinator for the Philadelphia area.

Pat is trained in Reiki and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and she is certified in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy. She has taught classes in past-life regression, meditation, astrology, healing, intuition, and various aspects of psychic development both privately, and for the Learning Annex and Philadelphia area Adult Evening School programs. As a result of this work, Pat is convinced that personal responsibility and accountability are necessary commitments for anyone who wishes to create a better world.

In 2006, Pat returned to college to find additional ways to contribute to a more peaceful, loving, and sane world. So far, she has completed a minor in Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of West Chester, and she is pursuing a degree in Philosophy with concentrations in Conflict Resolution, Communications, and Political Science. Pat currently is employed as a Human Resources and Accounting Manager for a small company in West Chester, PA.

A high-energy person, Pat's idea of fun includes working with gemstones and precious metals to create unique jewelry. She also expresses her creativity through needlework, writing, and a garden filled with flowers and plants which allows the "farmer's daughter" an on-going engagement with Life. She has a grown son and two grandchildren that are the delights of her life (and the primary reasons she has not yet made the move to Virginia!). However, her future plans include a move to the Independence area and continued involvement with both Oracle and the Valley of Light project. Pat can be reached at Pat@TheOracleInstitute.org.
