Eco-Spiritual Retreat: Unification of People & Planet

Eco-Spiritual
Event Description

97% of climate scientists agree: Human activity and carbon pollution are warming our planet and throwing natural systems out of balance. For those who love Mother Earth, it’s easy to feel disempowered in the face of this global crises. What can WE do to correct this world-wide problem?

Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project and Pachamama’s Project Drawdown provide knowledge and inspiration to pursue the 100 most substantive solutions already available – and this retreat offers both of these programs! Through a mixture of lectures, group exercises and meditations, attendees will realize their power to be active stewards of our precious planet!

About Our Presenter(s)

Rebecca L. Keeler, Ph.D., J.D., is a retired attorney and professor of constitutional law and public administration. As a lawyer, Becky provided legal support for a wide array of programs and services in a large county government. As an educator, she taught courses to help prepare future lawyers and public servants for success. Both careers were energized by her passion for public service and democratic ideals. Becky now begins a new chapter in her life as a committed activist in pursuit of saving our precious planet. She is a volunteer with Pachamama Alliance and a member of Citizens’ Climate Lobby.

Audrey M. Depelteau, Ph.D. is Director of East Tennessee State University Innovation Lab and a Climate Reality Leader since 2013. She received a certificate from MIT in Global Warming Science and completed the University of California at San Diego course in Climate Change in Four Dimensions.
